Ireland’s Top Winning Bichon Frise Kennel

Ashmair is a small family run kennel specialising in the exhibition and breeding of top quality Bichon Frise.

We are currently Ireland’s top winning kennel in the breed and have worked hard to be in that position over the last number of years. Our Bichon Frises have had spectacular successes during the last seven years and are consistent winners in breed and group competition in Ireland and we have had significant successes when exhibiting in the UK also.

Numbered among our memorable days with our Bichons are Crufts Best of Breed and CC wins, Club Specialty Best in Show wins, International and National Championship Show Best in Shows.

We welcome Exhibitors, Breeders, Owners and Friends from all over the World to visit our website and we hope that you enjoy checking out the World of Ashmair Bichon Frise.

‘Romeo’ melts the hearts at Birmingham National !

We had a fantastic trip to the Birmingham National Championship show at Stafford in England where the Bingley Hall welcomed us. It has been a good venue for us over the years and this year Team Ashmair came home after a huge result for us. Breed specialist Val Cumpstey of the Tamalva Bichon Frise judged the breed and it was a first CC and Best of Breed for our young Irish Pup of the Year Qualifier  Ashmair Look Who Did It  (Romeo) who started the day with a win in the Junior male class. CH/GB CH/INT CH Ashmair The Butler Did It  (Mikey)  took second in the Open males class and CH/INT CH Ashmair Shes Got The Look  topped the Open females class. Good results in the breed for mother, father and son but we were totally thrilled later in the day when breed specialist Tom Mather chose Romeo as his Toy Group Winner in great company in the beautiful marquee housing the Best in Show and Group ring. We had great support from our friends at home and abroad and it was a great thrill to give Romeo his chance in the Best in Show ring on Sunday. Thank you to everybody for their messages of congratulations on ‘Ro’s win, they were all very much appreciated and it was a very proud weekend for us.
