We had a funny old day at Fermoy International which had a change of judge with Mrs C Metans from France taking over the breed. There was a Green Star win for ‘Mikey’CH/GB CH/INT CH Ashmair The Butler Did It and class wins for the team . ‘Tilly’, Ashmair No Buts Or Maybes made her debut and was the Best Puppy in Breed. Later in the day she went on to take third in a strong Puppy Group 9 challenge under June Bollard of the Khybercove Afghans and Tibetan Spaniels and we were delighted with the lovely comments about her by our friends and ringsiders. Birmingham National (UK)

‘Romeo’ melts the hearts at Birmingham National !

We had a fantastic trip to the Birmingham National Championship show at Stafford in England where the Bingley Hall welcomed us. It has been a good venue for us over the years and this year Team Ashmair came home after a huge result for us. Breed specialist Val Cumpstey of the Tamalva Bichon Frise judged the breed and it was a first CC and Best of Breed for our young Irish Pup of the Year Qualifier  Ashmair Look Who Did It  (Romeo) who started the day with a win in the Junior male class.CH/GB CH/INT CH Ashmair The Butler Did It(Mikey)  took second in the Open males class and CH/INT CH Ashmair Shes Got The Look  topped the Open females class. Good results in the breed for mother, father and son but we were totally thrilled later in the day when breed specialist Tom Mather chose Romeo as his Toy Group Winner in great company in the beautiful marquee housing the Best in Show and Group ring. We had great support from our friends at home and abroad and it was a great thrill to give Romeo his chance in the Best in Show ring on Sunday. Thank you to everybody for their messages of congratulations on ‘Ro’s win, they were all very much appreciated and it was a very proud weekend for us.
